Faculty Development

The ACP recognises the importance of faculty development and is committed to providing all individuals with the resources, knowledge and skills necessary to aid their development as teachers, educators, leaders and researchers in medical education. Better teachers hopefully facilitate improved learning and inspire students and junior doctors to become competent and caring anaesthetists who will in turn contribute to improved patient and community outcomes.

We collaborate with the Academic Medicine.Education Institute (AM.EI) to provide online essentials of clinical education to all faculty, and workshops/ courses to develop faculty in designing learning, teaching and facilitating, assessment, education management and leadership and education research. We aim to promote faculty wellness and address needs in work-life balance too.

This site aims to keep faculty and learners abreast of the latest available education rounds and conferences available locally and internationally. Please drop us an email if you have any ideas on how to improve this or if you have an area of interest that you feel might be useful for the other members of the ACP. Moving forward, we hope to explore other areas of faculty development including clinical skills, research and administration.
